This manufacturer and distributor of carpet fitting accessories was established during the early 90's, and grew rapidly in the following years. The struggle to be independent was of upper most importance and gradually as the years went by Damo has become an independent supplier of carpet fitting accessories. Production facilities have been established for the manufacturing of carpet gripper, carpet joining tape and the punching of aluminium extrusions. In our product list you will also find items such as tools, adhesives, screed, concrete nails and blades, as well as DIY products.
Stairnosing is available in single or double, up to 6 metre lengths and cut to customer's specifications. All aluminium extrusions are available in mill finish (silver) or anodised (bronze).

CARPET GRIPPER |

Carpet Gripper is manufactured from 4 Ply or 5 Ply plywood strips of 1.220 metres each. Each strip is machined at an angle on one edge with 2 rows of 12mm pins punched into the strip from beneath, which grips the carpet. Pre-nailed every 16cm apart on top of the strip are 25mm concrete nails that secures the strip to the floor.
One box of carpet gripper holds 100 lengths of strips at 1.22 metres each, making a total of 122 metres of carpet gripper.
A DIY bundle of 4 strips is also available. |

CARPET JOINING TAPE |

Damo Carpet Joining Tape consists of a fibre glass scrim, stitched to a firm 9cm wide paper. Beads of a superior hot melt adhesive is applied on the fibre glass scrim for a better looking and better performing carpet join. A heat bond iron is applied to the tape, melting the adhesive. This causes the melted adhesive to bond into the carpet backing and the join is then strengthened by the scrim once the adhesive has cooled. |

A Damo Flat trim is a length of sturdy aluminium, 2.5m in length, used mainly in doorways to protect the exposed edges of various types of floor coverings, i.e. carpets, vinyl's, etc. Flats are manufactured with counter sunk holes so that nail heads do not protrude once the trim is installed. The Damo Flat is designed with a reeded finish to prevent marks and scratches which would occur with normal wear and tear, also providing a non-slip surface. Available in mill finish (silver) or anodised (bronze) and easily cut to size on site.
A DIY strip of 83 cm (normal door width) is also available.

STAIRNOSING: |

| Stairnosing is an aluminium extrusion with a PVC insert fitted to provide a more secure foothold on the edge of steps. It is available in a single (1 insert) or a double, (2 inserts) which provides a broader foothold. Inserts are available in black, brown or grey. Stairnosing is produced in a mill finish (silver) or anodised (bronze).
We also provide the service of cutting the stairnosing to lengths required, or it can be purchased as a 6 metre length.
